Everyone knows that most hospitals are in debt and those that financially manage are a fraction of a percent. There is a lack of liquidity, after all, everyone has to pay for heating or electricity, drug supplies. So what do they do? They borrow - says Anna Łukasik in an interview she gave to the Polish Press Agency.

The Preclinical Testing and Technology Center (CePT) is the largest integrated biomedical and biotechnology research center, which has been involved in interdisciplinary research of lifestyle diseases for years. During the conference that took place on March 8 at our University building, discussion was focused on the Center’s key achievements in the field of biomedicine and its contemplated operating directions for the future. The event was also a networking opportunity.

What are cardiomyopathies? It is a group of disorders which lead to heart muscle impairments. They have multiple causes and are often genetically determined. As emphasized by experts from the 1st Department and Clinic of Cardiology of WUM Medical University of Warsaw, hosts of the International Congress of Cardiomyopathies, these are still not receiving enough attention. This is a mistake, considering that cardiomyopathies are being diagnosed in more and more patients, while giving the right care to patients tends to be a very demanding task.

This exceptional group included Prof. Anna Kostera-Pruszczyk, Head of the Chair and Department of Neurology, Justyna Mieszalska, CEO of the Medical Center, and Magdalena Skarżyńska, MD, PhD, from the Department of Pharmacotherapy and Pharmaceutical Care.
